The Bio Recovery & Decontamination International (BRADI) will be representing professional practitioners and organisations, both large and small specialising in all areas of disaster recovery, hazmat remediation and management within the outdoor and built environments. BRADI has responded to industry demand by developing and promoting professional standards and recognised training and education.
The primary objectives of BRADI is the establishment, development and monitoring (through assessment), and promotion of professional standards, ethics and best practice for all individuals and organisations within the profession," says Jeff Charlton, chairman of BRADI.
“One of our main aims is the development of training and recognisable certification with auditable management systems compliant to BSEN 45011; this in turn will provide benefits to clients and the general public alike who will immediately recognise the competence of the BRADI contractors in all areas of disaster recovery and hazmat recovery.
We will be forming close relationships with other relevant professional organisations such as the British Damage Management Association (BDMA), the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) to ensure our members receive the best support and guidance available.”
In addition BRADI offers a structured training programme aimed at various levels of experience and competency with in all areas of disaster & hazmat recovery.
Membership is currently free and open to all individuals and organisations involved in all aspects of disaster recovery, be it fire & flood damage management, bio-hazard recovery, toxic mould remediation, outbreak and infection control, CBRN decontamination or support services, cannabis lab and illicit drug factory’s and more.

Raising Standards in Disaster & Hazmat Competence BRADI will launch at a suitable venue in September 2010 with a full day seminar and self-marking exam. The seminars will revolve around the current industry and how to improve competence, profit lines through BRADI membership, there will be NO sales talk, just straight forward facts and opportunities.
