14 Pandemic & Outbreak control for Employees

This module provides employees with the necessary information on personal protection and defence against contagious disease. It will provide the employee with the confidence and education necessary to enable safe travel to and from work and employ general risk reduction techniques with their families and work colleagues.

The three hour group course identifies:

• Routes of infection

• Types of PPE personal protective equipment

• Use and personal fit testing of PPE

• Putting on & taking off PPE

• Cough suppression

• Self protection advice social distancing

• Hand washing techniques and visual testing

• Typical cross contamination issues and avoidance
